Built in a Venetian Gothic style, the palace was the official residence of the Doge of Venice, the supreme authority of the former Republic of Venice. Marvel at the lavish apartments of the Doge and the spacious enclosed courtyards and see masterpieces of art by Titian, Veronese and Tintoretto along the way.
Enter the Opera Museum, where many of the 14th-century capitals can now be seen complete with allegorical engravings that mix the sacred and profane, history and legend, astronomy and astrology. Discover the ancient entrance of the Doge's Palace along with the Giants' Staircase in the internal courtyard.
