On this tour, you'll hear your guide tell stories of the centuries-old Venetian wine bar culture and visit some of the most well-known bars and restaurants in the city. Try some local favourites as and be entertained with anecdotes from your local guide. Visit the area that was once the beacon for the Venitian empire, the Rialto market. Now it is one of the most interesting and exciting places to visit while in Venice. If you don't drink wine, there are a variety of alternatives to as well as plenty of different food options to please everyone. There are about 15 different tastings, including lunch at a famous restaurant, representative of what the Venetians would eat on a daily basis. You will also get to learn about how to order food and wine like a local in Venice, how to spot a high- quality restaurants as opposed to more touristy ones as well as the histories and traditions and why Cicchetti is so famous here in Venice. During the tour, you will go to the ancient wine bar that once was frequented by the famous, Casanova and has a delightful selection of Chicchetti (if they are closed on the day that you are booked for an alternative will be provided).
