It's a nice way of traveling through the canals. We missed all the commentary during the gondola trip as the guide was just too far away for the device to work. Maybe if this is for more than 2 people it's better to go directly for a private tour. Gondolier won't talk nor explain anything and mostly chats with the other gondoliers in italian.

Very nice experience. Would have liked to have heard few words from the gondolier as well- he didnt spoke a word. Guide was lovely, dont know his name but warm person with long hair. didnt need to download anything as the commentary came with device itself and headphones. Worth the money.

Really cool experience, was totally worth it. Just prepare for quite long “check-in” for the tour - we were around 30 people, so it took some 15-20mins, then short walk to gondolas (~15 mins) and only then was the gondola ride - just something to keep in mind if you are time-conscious. Overall, amazing experience to see the city from different viewpoint.
