Full description
You will be met at the meeting point and brought to the gondola pier where you'll board the gondola and meet your gondolier. Take your place on the gondola (maximum of 5 people per shared gondola) and let the local gondolier, in his distinctive blue and white striped shirt, carry you along the hidden channels of Venice on a 30-minute ride. Considered one of the most beautiful and elegant boats on earth, the traditional Venetian gondola is built following unique techniques that incorporate symbolic meanings. For example, the gondola’s multi-pronged ferro, or prow, features pettini that are symbolic of the 6 sestieri (divisions) of Venice. This part is made of iron to balance the weight of the gondolier, and has the shape of an S, evoking the flow of the waters of the Grand Canal. On this enchanting and relaxing way to enjoy the sights, charm, and beauty of Venice, you’ll admire elegant canal-side palaces, unique bridges, and the magic atmosphere that you’ll only find here.

A worker from the company was waiting for us at the meeting point and kindly accompanied us to the starting point of the gondola ride. We shared it with a couple, in total we were 5 people. We liked it so much that we decided to take a second gondola ride. Venice is beautiful, spectacular from the Grand Canal.

Six of us sat in a gondola, the tour lasted 30 minutes and the gondolier pointed out two buildings to us in English. So the tour kept what the description said and fulfilled it. The meeting point (in front of the post office) was clearly marked, the guide was on time. There is also a public toilet nearby (1.5 €). I think a gondola ride is part of a visit to Venice. This is a possibility to be able to afford this alone or in pairs

The meeting point might be a bit vague and confusing as it's on a shopping street and not on the water, but that doesn't make it any less fun! Through the small alleys and also across the main canal. A very nice experience and would not have wanted to miss it!
