We had a great tour with our guide (whose name we all missed). She was a lovely French guide who lived in Venice for many years with her son. This was a quick water taxi ride over to Murano. Frankly the glass tour was fine but nothing to write home about. Seeing the craftsman making a glass horse is like one minute was very cool but basically it's a two-minute tour then we were brought to an expensive gift shop to marvel at the pieces for sale for 300-100,000 euros. Everyone was nice and plesent but I got the sinking feeling they were just waiting for us to buy some very expensive glass or leave. My favorite part of the tour was after the glass tour. Our guide showed us around Murano and then brought us to the quiet Castello neighborhood. It was great to explore the park and our guide's home neighborhood. To me, that was way more interesting than the glass tour.

Meeting point was easy to find although initially the team had a problem finding my booking!! We were escorted to San Marco quayside onto a water taxi and enjoyed an exciting, fast trip across the lagoon. Initially we visited a glass blowing demonstration which was interesting but felt rushed; then guided to the shop!! Our guide Suzanna walked us around the main areas of Murano at our pace; sharing information and answering questions. She was happy for us to stop wherever and happily took photographs. Murano is a lovely place to meander and people watch. We returned to the quayside for our return trip but ended up with a shared boat trip instead of a private trip. This was seemingly not in our guides control; but due to the taxi driver and a member of staff from the glass blowing factory!!

The most beautiful day in Venice and a fantastic trip to Merano. Gentiana, our guide, a wonderful woman. During the short walk from the meeting point to the boat, she told us a lot about the history of Venice, St. Mark's Square, etc. The crossing to Merano was unique and here we also learned a lot of interesting information about Venice. The tour was very well organized and you saw a lot of what makes Merano glass so special. There was also a small tour of the island itself. There were only four of us, including the guide, and Gentiana had a lot of time for us and answered all of our questions. We can only warmly recommend the tour to everyone. Thanks to Gentiana we had a very nice 3 hours, which unfortunately passed far too quickly.
