The start of this tour was a bit chaotic. We met at the tour office and got to use a VR headset to view 3 images of how Venice would have looked in the past. We then were taken to the far side of St Marks Square to meet the rest of the tour so we hung about for quite a bit, then we got headsets and were taken to the other side of the Square, where the group got split into smaller qroups based on language, but our guide wasn't there initially, so we had to hang about again. It was just the lack of communication that was frustrating. The actually tour was really interesting and I learned a lot about the history of Venice, not just the Doge's Palace.

This was such a great experience! Very well run. Takes a little time to get started from the meeting point to getting head sets and waiting for guide etc so add another half hour to the time if you’re in a rush…. We had no time constraints so all was good. Excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable. The Doge’s Palace is amazing! Breathtakingly beautiful… be sure to do the tour that includes the underground… stark contrast to the Palace above! Highly recommend.

The tour was fantastic, we enjoyed it so much. The guide was really enthusiastic and told a lot of interesting stories about Venice's past. It was also nice that the organisers did not leave us behind when we were late 10 minutes (vaporettos were full, we just couldn't get on).
