Full description

Discover the origins and history of Prosecco's most famous sparkling Italian wine on this full-day tour. Meet your wine expert guide in Piazzale Roma, close to the historical center of Venice, and enjoy the drive towards the region where prosecco is produced in a comfortable van. During your trip, you will pass by the original region of Prosecco, Conegliano Valdobbiadene, a complex of small towns and expanses of vineyards. Visit 2 traditional wineries to learn all the secrets of Prosecco production and have 2 wine tasting sessions. First, stop at a family-run winery for a guided tour of the vineyards. Enjoy a tasting session paired with a light lunch with local products like cheese, salami, bread, and seasonal vegetables. After lunch with a view, head to the second winery to meet the winemaker for a guided tour of the production. Learn more about the Charmat method and a second wine-tasting session. At the end of this trip to the magical world of Prosecco land, return to the starting point.

Mother and daughter trip to Venice! Had a lovely day on this tour, it was a great thing to do for our final day. Started the day at 10am - met Vanessa at the allocated meeting spot and she drove us 1 hour into the hills providing us with an introduction to the day and some history on the area which was very interesting. We stopped at our first winery (sad I cannot remember the names but they were both great) and had a tour around the vineyard followed by a tasting of 4 Proseccos and a lovely light lunch consisting of cheese, meats and bread. We then had a short journey to the second vineyard (which included a stop off at a great view point) we had a tour behind the scenes of the wine making and bottling process followed by another tasting of 3 Proseccos and 1 red wine. We then drove around an hour home and arrived back in Venice around 4pm. Cannot recommend this trip enough! Fantastic guide (thanks Vanessa) lovely winery’s and of course delicious prosecco. Must do trip!!

Georgia was an amazing guide, she shared so much knowledge of the region and of the processes for winemaking. She was very welcoming and made us feel like we were basically a part of her family. The wineries we went to were were fantastic and the staff there that showed us around the winery were amazing and very knowledgeable. We learned a whole lot about Prosecco. The pouring was generous and the food provided was very delicious. I enjoyed having a small group, while I often tend towards private tours, the people we met on the tour were just like us and were very nice people and I was happy to share the tour with them.
