What to Expect
Explore the food culture of Venice like a local and graze on bar snacks during this 90-minute tour of the back streets of Venice. Get behind the scenes and discover the city’s bacari, traditional taverns where slow food and wine is the flavor of the day.
Bacari are more charming than fancy. They are great places to try the famous Venetian ciccheti, served with good glasses of wine.
This delicious adventure takes you to 3 bacaro bars, starting from San Bartolomeo near the Rialto. Try some of the city’s specialties, from plates of olives to marinated seafood, served on wedges of soft polenta; or try the famous polpette (meatballs).
End on the opposite side of the Rialto, where you can head back to one of the several bars, or easily make your way to any other part of the city.
- 1 glass of wine and 1 cicchetto (snack) at each bacaro
