Booking advance was so easy and when we saw the queues on the day and subsequent days (Oct) we were very happy. It was easy to find the meeting point on the day and we reach had a wireless set and headphones, so we heard our guide without having to clamber around him. Excellent tour, knowledgeable guide and the English was really good. We may have paid a little more I dont know, but we got the best treatment and guide and why settle for less when for us it was a one time experience so we wanted the best

Doce Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica are absolutely amazing and a must see tour for anyone coming to Venice regardless of how many days you are staying. Mose our tour guide was a very knowledgable man of many historical Venetian events. He was able to give information that was far beyond what we expected. His personality and humour came through in his information and all of the tour members appreciated his style. We have been to many Basilicas in Italy and we really enjoyed St. Mark’s Basilica. Over the centuries it took to build the Basilica and also keeping the continuity in tack is impressive. Also using the layered gold leaf in the glass mosaic tile is very creative and the result is glorious. Gold ceilings with stories imbedded in them. The Doce Palace was very regal. Each room we walked into took our breath away. All of it’s thick wooden engraved gold leaf frames around the paintings on the walls and ceilings showed the opulence of the day . Very impressive and stately.
