Full description
Experience the majestic beauty of Venice by land and water on a combined walking tour and gondola ride. Discover the heart of the city from unusual points of view. First, take a stroll around some of the city’s fabled streets. Discover hidden gems and famous sites, such as the legendary Teatro La Fenice. Marvel at a hidden masterpiece of architecture at the Scala Contarini del Bovolo, a multi-arch spiral staircase on the outside of the Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo. Wander down some of the tiny “calle” (alleys) often missed by many tourists. Experience the hustle and bustle of everyday life around the Rialto Bridge, once the center of commercial life in the city. Go to some of the quieter sestiere (districts) before climbing aboard a gondola. Experience the city by its traditional mode of transport as you glide down canals that the larger boats can’t reach. See miraculous palaces and romantic bridges as you watch your gondolier, dressed in a distinctive blue and white striped shirt, punt along the hidden canals.

There was some slight confusion at the meeting place as they had 2 different tours, one JUST the gondola ride and the other "walking and gondola tour" at the same place. Our guide was OK but there wasn't a lot of "content" in the tour and her English was a little broken, but understandable. At times on the gondola there were traffic jams on the canal. I think they are trying to cram too many toursist out there to make more money!

Ingenious gondola ride - guided tour so la la

Everything went very well - the guide was on time at the meeting point, then a great 25-minute gondola ride and then a 1.5-hour tour in German. The tour could have been more informative and more specific locations could have been shown. The guide told a lot, but we hardly saw any special places. But still good value for money - would book again

    Negative and too little history

The guide complained about coffee prices and expensive shops and tried to tell jokes rather than telling stories and sharing insights about the area, buildings and the people of Venice. Really such a waste of time. The boat trip was okay but I would recommend a private trip rather than a shared trip. Again the boat guide told nothing whatsoever about the area we passed by.
