Full description

Escape the crowds of Venice and take a day trip to the Dolomites, with stops at Cortina, Misurina Lake, and Auronzo Lake. See fabulous scenery and get plenty of opportunities to take epic photographs. Pass through tunnels with astonishing views of canyons and valleys, which appear as if from nowhere. The scenery in this region is quite simply some of the most breathtaking in Europe. Upon arrival in Cortina, nicknamed the “Pearl of the Dolomites,” you will have approximately 90 minutes free time to stroll around the town, and take in the picturesque views of the mountains.

Weather permitting, you will also be able to take the cable car up to Faloria, which overlooks the town of Cortina from its lofty 7,000-foot high mountain perch. Continue your trip towards Lake Misurina, taking the toll road up to outstanding peaks of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. At 7,740 feet (2,360 meters), it will reward you with yet more unforgettable views of the Dolomites. Take time to stroll around and breathe in that fresh mountain air. Alternatively, break for an optional lunch, and admire the mountain peaks and spectacular backdrop of Sorapis, and Marmarole. After lunch, drive to picturesque Lake Auronzo, passing through enchanting mountain villages as you head back towards Venice, and your final drop-off point.

We cannot recommend this tour enough! Simone is the best tour guide we’ve had so far in Italy. He is very friendly, highly knowledgeable and made the experience all the more worthwhile. We stopped at all the best spots along the way and he even encouraged us to practice our Italian. The scenery of the Dolomites is truly breathtaking. We had lunch in a restaurant with beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. If you’re considering doing this tour then you should definitely go for it!

Absolutely outstanding!! This is a must do if you only have time for one day in the Dolomites! Our guide, Simionne, was friendly, outgoing and very knowledgeable. We learned so much about the region and he gave us plenty of stops to take pictures, walk around one of the lakes, and have an outdoor lunch with a view like no other. This will be a memory of a lifetime! Was wonderful to be able to relax while he drove and just take in the incredible scenery.

We had our tour guided by Simone, and he is the funnest and the most resourceful tour guide! His english is impeccable, and he makes jokes to make it engaging, he also gives food recommendations and tells stories and insider information I dont think any other guide can deliver the way he does. Aside from that the dolomites are worth passing near to, such a refreshing view and there was a hike also included
