We didn’t know what to expect. Doing the night tour was a great decision. It was a small group but way less crowded in the palace and St Marks. The prison was also interesting. Because we were the only group in St Marks we got to see so much more. Well worth the price.

Fantastic program!

Although it was a bit pricey, the value and the price was in harmony. Mat, the tour guide was a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, passionate about the subject, about Venice. He was a real expert. Most of the group members are over their 50-60, he was tolerant when they wanted to sit down and listening to him while having some rest. He was ready to answer every question, and was sincere when he didn't have information for the question. He has a great sense of humor, and he had a lot of stories about the Palace and the Basilica. Both place were a great experience, although it was my 4 visit in my life there. The group size 13 people, was ok.

Wonderful tour and excellent guide for Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s

The combination of Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s Basilica after hours made for a wonderful tour. It had started cooling off and there crowds had mostly left so we loved it. Our guide Pam was so good - she was very knowledgeable about Venetian history and these two historic places. And she was very charming. I highly recommend this tour. The walking is moderate and there are some stairs but not a lot. And the stairs were more half-flights at a time which made them easy to get past. And the views from Doge’s are magnificent. St Mark’s is breathtaking with the gold ceiling and we practically had the place to ourselves.
