Cruise along the Grand Canal and minor canals of Venice on a 2-hour boat tour to San Giorgio Island. Enjoy panoramic views of Saint Mark's Square from the lagoon. Go up the bell tower for even more beautiful photo opportunities of the city’s sights.
What to Expect
Climb aboard a motor boat for a 2-hour cruise from St. Mark’s Square to the opposite side of the Grand Canal and Venetian Lagoon, stopping at the island of San Giorgio Maggiore east of the Giudecca.
A guide will accompany you to point out the palazzos and artistic splendor along the banks of the Grand Canal and its minor canals. After an approximate 1-hour cruise down the canals of the main island, head to San Giorgio Maggiore, best known for its 16th-century Benedictine church and views back to St. Mark’s.
Stop to take amazing photos of some of Venice’s most iconic landmarks, including the golden domes of St. Mark’s Basilica, and the Gothic Palazzo Ducale. Go up the bell tower (campanile) of the Church of San Giorgio for splendid views of the city.
Return to the main island after about 45 minutes, disembarking next to a café, where you are free to enjoy Venetian specialties, including some delicious ice cream (own expense).
