  • From November 1 to March 31 there is no skip-the-line entrance to the Basilica
  • Children under 5 years old are free
  • You must cover your shoulders and knees in the Basilica
  • You are not permitted to take photographs
  • You are not permitted to bring your backpack or another large bag, there is a free deposit on the left of the Church in Calle S. Basso

The Basilica is magnificent and I recommend a visit. It's beautiful! The only problem is that there were a lot of people in Praça de S. Marcos and we had problems finding the guide. The visit had already started, but there was a collaborator from the Meeting Point who was very friendly and helped us a lot, getting us to enter the Basilica and join the group.

We were only sent back at the church entrance and shown the assembly point. The tour started late because we also had to drop off the bags at a different location! But that worked without any problems. The "German" cathedral guide was sometimes difficult to understand and had several disputes in the cathedral with visitors who took photographs (outside of our group!)

Gruselige Geschichten sind immer spannend und das in Verbindung mit einem Spaziergang durch einen kleinen Teil von London. Durch die Erzählweise des Guide waren die Geschichten sogar mit einem Augenzwinkern "glaubhaft". Er hat es mit einer wahren Inbrunst und einem klaren und betonten Englisch an uns herangebracht. Tolle Leistung und Danke.
