Zadar: River Zrmanja Guided Kayak Safari & Waterfalls

The begging of the trip (clothes changing, instructions, boarding and start of the paddling down the river) is at village Kaštel Žegarski . The part of the route from the village to the mouth of Krupa in Zrmanja and Visoki buk (10 meters high waterfall, the highest on Zrmanja) is hour and a half long, and the waterfall will be bypassed by 5 minutes long walk. Going down the river lasts for approximately 4 hours of which one hour is spent on occasional breaks and swimming. Paddling isn’t hard or dangerous, during the summer; the water is clear and refreshing – perfect adventure for beginners. The trip ends in a village called Muškovci, with some free time for swimming before departure. If you have arrived with your own car, we will drive you to the start point, where you had left your car.

From Split: Private Tour to Plitvice Lakes National Park

From Split: Private Tour to Plitvice Lakes National Park

This day tour of Plitvice lakes from Split is a perfect tour for all staying in Split and trying to make the most of their holiday in Croatia. Plitvice National Park was founded in 1949 and became famous during the 1960s and 1970s through several Western film productions of Karl May novels. Many scenes were shot at the lakes or waterfalls. The geographic position of the Plitvice Lakes and the specific climate features contributed to the emergence of many natural phenomena and a rich biodiversity within this area. Despite the vicinity to the Mediterranean, a moderate mountainous climate prevails due to the Velebit mountain range, which acts as a climatic separator between the coastal and continental region. For centuries, legends have been created about these mythical lakes, rivers and waterfalls. According to one legend, inhabitants of the region were craving water and called upon the magic queen to help them, which she did by creating the Plitvice lakes. The availability of water has a great impact on the biodiversity of this area. The forested mountain slopes serve as water reservoirs and as a refuge for many animal species. The wider area of the national park is one of the last areas in Europe where wolves and brown bears can be found. About 50 species of mammals and 321 different species of butterflies live in this region. Explore the hidden pathways of Plitvice.

Zadar: Scenic trip to mountains, caves and rivers

Our emphasis will be on UNESCO protected Velebit mountain range, the most beautiful in Croatia, which offers fantastic scenery and views. This full day trip begins and ends in Zadar. It is done in the air conditioned vehicle. First we will visit 2 attractive viewpoints to Maslenica bridge and river Zrmanja where Indian village from famous German Winnetou movies stood. Then we will cross over the Velebit range via historic Master's Road and pass below scenic limestone cliffs of Tulove Grede, where we will do a 2h easy and scenic hike with great views. From there we will continue over the Velebit range and cross to its heavily forested northern side, with primeval forests. Then we will descend to lush green mountainous Lika region and proceed to visit beautiful Cerovačke Špilje (Cerovac Caves) (entrance is 11€ for one cave and 15€ for both caves, this is the only additional cost during the tour). After cave visit we will cross Velebit again and descend to river Zrmanja for a refreshing swim in its crystal clear waters (summer season).

Aleksandar gave us one of the hilights of our trip. the locations were stunning and having someone who was as knowledgeable about the area as Aleksandar was priceless. you could not get a better guide. the added fact he is a professional photographer meant he knew where to stop and what to show you. Everything from the view point stops along the way, to the small hike, to the cabes were incredible. Before this trip we were hoping to do lots of these parts separately so the fact that Aleksandar was able to combine them all together and add to the experience was phenomenal. this trip is absolutely worth it and because of him is worth farm more than all the sum of its parts. it has been nearly a month since we went now and we've not stopped talking about how amazing the experience was. the hike is easy and manageable. the caves are cold for sure, but no photo could do justice to how awesome they are. Absolutely book Aleksandar and go on this trip. it was the best decision we made!

Ilija gave us great information about the meeting point, gave us a warm welcome and planned the tour according to our wishes. The stops were long enough everywhere and we were also able to visit a fish restaurant on one of the islands that we would never have discovered without him. We had a lovely afternoon and would love to go again!
