This was an amazing experience. Our guide read the group well, kept our pace manageable, and had lots of stories and facts to share about the glacier. The cave was a highlight, but overall just standing on a glacier, enjoying some glacier ice water, and seeing the view from up there was all well worth it. My only warning would be that I saw this listed as both "easy" and "medium" difficulty on this site and the Troll site - I would definitely say it's more on the medium side with some hard spots. Not sure if really suitable for children under 13 - I'm short, but I had plenty of difficulty with some of the stairs carved in to the glacier that we had to climb up.

It was a pretty good experience. However going as a group with others meant we could only go as fast as the slowest members of the group. Our group had some laggards and as such we were limited in our experience. However it was fun and we all had a pleasurable time. A little on the pricey side but if Iceland was affordable even more folks would go

So pleased that we finally got to do this. Activity was cancelled on last visit because of bad weather, Them’s the breaks!! Wrap up warm, and waterproofs are a good idea and walking boots. Experience not necessary [we have none] as guide will give good advice and keep you safe.
