This ticket was so very easy. You do not have to spend the money on an expensive tour to see everything beautiful inside. We just showed our voucher and walked right in. I will say we are here during off season. If you come in the Summer I'd expect a different experience as far as how long you'll wait in the line with everyone else who had the same time slot .

Peek at the Cabinet of the Masks, or tour the Sala degli Animali to see a virtual menagerie of fantastic beasts, real and imagined. Walk the Upper Galleries, including the Gallery of Maps, to see how cartographers depicted the world through the ages. See masterpieces by Renaissance masters in the Raphael Rooms, and rest for a while in the Borgia Apartments. Then, it’s time to marvel at Michelangelo’s exquisite Sistine Chapel, the crown jewel of the Vatican, and perhaps even of all the world’s art treasures.

Go directly to the Vatican Museum entrance on Vatican Museums, 00120 Città del Vaticano (Viale Vaticano) and show your ticket (paper and mobile voucher are accepted) to the security guards at the entrance, then scan your ticket at the box office CASSA ONLINE E GRUPPI after the security check. Please do not arrive outside your assigned time slot.

  • Youth tickets are available for those between the ages of 7-18 (inclusive) with a valid ID card
  • St Peter’s Basilica and the Square may be closed in the morning due to Papal Audience
  • The opening hours are subject to change due to special events at the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St Peter's Basilica
  • Children under 7 years old go free of charge with a valid ID
  • Those with a disability and their carer or companion go free of charge with a certificate of disability, which you must present at the Special Permits and/or the Reception desk in the hall of the museum
  • June, July and August are particularly busy as they are high-season months

Recommended, too bad they don't let you take pictures with your phone in the Sistine Chapel, really embarrassing. We got in pretty quickly, but the price wasn't too low either.
