      Peek at the Cabinet of the Masks, or tour the Sala degli Animali to see a virtual menagerie of fantastic beasts, real and imagined. Walk the Upper Galleries, including the Gallery of Maps, to see how cartographers depicted the world through the ages.

      See masterpieces by Renaissance masters in the Raphael Rooms, and rest for a while in the Borgia Apartments. Then, it’s time to marvel at Michelangelo’s exquisite Sistine Chapel, the crown jewel of the Vatican, and perhaps even of all the world’s art treasures.

      Go directly to the Vatican Museum entrance on Viale Vaticano. Use the preferred GetYourGuide entrance and show your ticket (paper and mobile voucher are accepted) to the security guards at the entrance, then scan your ticket at the box office CASSA ONLINE E GRUPPI after the security check.

      • All visitors must pass through airport-style security. During high season the wait at security may be up to 30 minutes
      • Youth tickets are available for those between the ages of 6-18 (inclusive) with a valid ID card
      • St Peter’s Basilica and the Square may be closed in the morning due to Papal Audience
      • The opening hours are subject to change due to special events at the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St Peter's Basilica
      • Children under 6 years old go free of charge with a valid ID
      • Those with a disability and their carer or companion go free of charge with a certificate of disability, which you must present at the Special Permits and/or the Reception desk in the hall of the museum
      • The minibus tour is not available for children 6 years old or younger
      • The Vatican can get very crowded all year round. June, July and August are particularly busy as they are high-season months
      • Open Monday to Saturday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (final entry 4:00 PM)

      This was a really good option as it gave us a fast track entrance but with plenty of freedom to enjoy the museums at our own pace. They are just amazing and you really don’t want to rush it! The entry was very easy but be sure to screen shot the voucher on your phone, so it is quickly scanned, just incase of last minute WiFi connection problems. We wizzed through no problem. It’s also worth noting the Museums are accessed outside of the big walls of Vatican city so you have to go right around the back behind St.Peters basillica… I’m pretty sure you cannot access museums from St.Peters square if you do that first, unless you are with a guide. Enjoy!

      Highly recommend, you skip the whole line and go straight to ticket booth to change your voucher into a ticket. If you want some kind of explanation while you’re there, the museum offers audio guides throughout the exhibit that you can pay for when you get there. Makes it really easy to go at your own pace and hear the things you’re most interested in

      Vatican entrance was worse than TSA lines, but that’s nothing to do with Get Your Guide. It was incredible to be able to get a Vatican tickets through them, because I left this planning part of my trip to the last minute and couldn’t find available tickets on Vatican website. It was super easy to get the tickets with get your guide voucher.
