The actual tour was excellent. However, the directions to meet the tour guide took us to a street corner with no actual way to know if we had actually arrived at the right place. This was further confounded by the guide arriving late. Early on the morning of the tour I received a phone call that the time slot I booked was no longer available due to guide’s exposure to Covid. I was offered a later tour which did not suit my itinerary. I was then told that unfortunately there was nothing else that could be done. When I asked about a refund, I was told no refund could be issued. Only when I pushed back on this was I then told to just come ahead for the original tour time slot. To be honest this reeked of a scam. I’m grateful the tour ultimately worked out and was quite enjoyable.

An interesting tour, which was presented by our knowledgeable guide (Joanna). An incredibly large museum, with a lot more to see, but the feeling was that we got to learn about the most interesting / important parts. I had thought it would be a bit more about the popes and the history of the area, but it was almost exclusively about art.

It has been great! We were lucky to be just the two of us and our guide made us a super interesting and enriching tour! Thank you very much Maria for your explanations and kindness, we really enjoyed it! In addition, I have been there other times and have learned new things that I did not know!
