Meet your guide at Largo del Colonnato 5, by the first columns of the Colonnade. Look for a yellow label with the local partner's, Touriks, logo on it. The meeting point is outside the Basilica before entering St. Peter's Square. Please do not go through the metal detectors before meeting the guide.

  • Modest clothing is required to enter the Basilica (knees and shoulders should be covered)
  • Please note that this is not a skip-the-line tour
  • Please be aware that the lines to clear security checks at the entrance are not skippable and may take 15-120 minutes
  • The meeting point is outside the Basilica before entering St. Peter's square and the security checks
  • We might not be able to accommodate, refund or reschedule late arrivals
  • Strollers are not allowed in the Basilica. There is a luggage deposit at the entrance of the basilica where you can leave the stroller
  • You will be required to pass through metal detectors at the entrance of the square
  • The climb to the Dome is not included. You can visit on your own after the tour (ticket costs 10Eur)

Tom the tour guide was really attentive and answered our questions. He made good jokes and is a very cool guy. Would recommend others to be toured by him. He explained very well during the tour and gave the histories as we walk by.

The tour with Ellenora in English was excellent and she kept pace to get us through the line to see the Basilica as quickly as possible. We were 20 minutes early and had no idea which line to stand in to get checked off so that check in system should be managed more effectively with signs.
