Full description
During this 3-hour tour you will explore the real-life neighborhoods, streets, and homes that made up the Warsaw Ghetto, the largest of all the Jewish ghettos in German-occupied Europe during World War II. Learn from a professional guide who will weave together the harrowing stories of everyday life in the ghetto while you explore fragments of the ghetto walls, the last street of the ghetto, and the still-functioning synagogue that survived the Second World War. Learn about the history of this haunting place where German authorities imprisoned Jews, located in the Muranów neighborhood of the Polish capital, between October and November 1940. Over 400,000 Jews from Warsaw and the surrounding area were located in this area of four square kilometers. 100,000 people died here from exhaustion, hunger, disease and more than 300,000 were killed in the nearby Treblinka extermination camp. We had our private tour of the Warsaw Ghetto with Marcin. He was a super good guide who spoke very good German. we could understand him very well and he was able to answer all of our questions. We had a lot of fun with him and it was an all-round successful day! Thank you very much Marcin!

Our guide Ewa gave us a very impressive introduction to the city of Warsaw and the ghetto. We not only got to know the places and the history but also learned a lot more, for example about the time after 1945 until today. We also found it very good that the story was only told in black and white. There was also something in between with Germans and Poles. In any case, such a blatant tragedy must not be repeated in Germany or Poland. For us, the 4-hour tour was very good - also to learn to appreciate Poland
