After the pick-up at your hotel in Varna, you will first stop at the Varna Archaeological Museum. Your tour guide will tell you many historical facts about the region and the city itself, revealing the exciting past of Varna and its surroundings.
Following a short walk through Varna's pedestrian area, you will head off to the Aladzha Monastery, a medieval Orthodox Christian cave monastery complex. It is situated in a protected forest area adjacent to the Golden Sands Nature Park in northeastern Bulgaria, 17 kilometers north of central Varna. The monastery dates back to the 14th century and existed until the 17th century. Its picturesque location and preserved frescoes are absolutely unique and a highlight of every trip to Bulgaria.
On the way back you will stop for a cup of coffee in the seaside resort Golden Sands before returning back to your hotel in Varna.
