Morning Boat Tour in Varanasi

Disappointment, no sunrise and way to many people We were told to arrive around 5am to see an Aarti performance which would last 15 min so we could still make it on the boat to see the sunrise, but it was 40 minutes which meant we completely missed the sunrise.. only to the be gathered on a big boat with a 100 people. Completely missing the objective of “a small max 15. people sunrise boat tour”… very disappointing. The reason for the change being the high waters due to monsoon, which makes sense due to safety reasons, but not providing any information about the change is not fair. So instead of a nice small boat sunrise tour we ended up with having people standing over us, taking photos out of a big, crowded and loud cruise after sunrise, that only drove 1 hour. The guide clearly has a lot of knowledge about the area and seems like a really nice guy but redirecting the trip to a packed cruise without telling us is not okay
