The Plaza Premium Lounge is located airside at the U.S. Transborder Departure Pier E, near Gate E87, across from Gate E88. The lounge is located within the restricted area where passengers departing have cleared customs and passport control and for transit passengers who have cleared transit customs and security control. An onward flight boarding pass is required.

De lounge was alleen net na de security aangegeven en bleek vervolgens bijna aan het einde van de D pier te zitten, maar nergens onderweg ook maar iets van een indicatie. Vervolgens bleek het een redelijk ‘open’ ruimte zijn: vernieuwing gaande. Kwaliteit eten en drinken prima. Bij de stoelen weinig oplaadpunten (2 bij 4 stoelen) en alleen met stekker. Bij de bar wel met alleen oplaadkabel. Toiletten buiten de ruimte van de Plaza, wel dichtbij. Prima plek om even rustig te zitten voor de vlucht.

Firstly it’s not an enclosed lounge, it’s divided from public access by a put up airport fence. My experience here was good, food, drinks, seating, but it’s not a lounge, it’s just a fancy area of the airport. You don’t get that private lounge feeling. So, good but not great.

It was a great space to spend a long layover in YVR. You can relax (sleep even) in a comfortable chair, have a drink, eat and just be in peace from the hustle and bustle of a busy airport environment. We even had a shower (in a closed full bathroom for privacy) and refreshed before our next flight. Especially if you have a long flight ahead (and a long layover to wait for that flight), it’s worth every penny! And the people that work there are wonderful, helpful and very welcoming!!! So nice to be treated with kindness after the adventures and unpleasantness of security screening.
