We had an amazing experience, at the end they even sent us professional photos of the whale, seals and sea lions we saw on the trip. The complimentary tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate went down well too. The conservation specialist/ guide Stephen was a delight, very knowledgeable and entertaining. We would recommend you bring a jacket/ coat if sitting outside and some snacks. While you’re there make sure you visit the rest of Granville island.

The crew was lovely and they really loved their job and it showed. The activity itself was great especially if you love being on a boat. We spotted orcas within the first one-two hours. So a 5 hour activity was a bit excessive and become rather repetitive. There is only that many photographs of an orca pod going in and out of the water that you can take :-) Although the activity was lovely we couldn't help not thinking about the impact on the mammal sea life.
