We had an eight hour wait at Vancouver Int airport so decided to book a six hour slot in the Plaza lounge. It was very quiet when we arrived at 2.15pm but got a lot busier as the afternoon went on. Checking in was straight forward. The lounge chairs were very comfortable and the atmosphere relaxing. We enjoyed the hot food (gammon in an orange sauce with mixed veg and mashed potato) and the tomato soup was good. Salad and cold things were available. The sweets were slices of tiramisu like cake and similar mango slices. The fresh coffee was excellent as were the cookies and marshmallows. Oh, of course, don’t forget the wine, of which the Pinot Grigio was very palatable (could have been colder). The staff were friendly and helpful. If you want to charge your mobile or iPad via a USB port, then you need a Canadian two pin adapter to fit the sockets. I borrowed one from reception but I don’t believe they had many if demand was high. Overall a pleasant and relaxing few hours. Recommended.

Too full at the time we visited; food average and quite poorly presented (pasta, potato, etc. in warmers, spoons crusted with food); drinks mostly in cans with limited choice of wine (cooled rather oddly by storing bottles upside down in ice); staff rather stressed and not very welcoming; just OK to pass the relatively long time before a delayed flight.
