One of the best museums I ever visited. It is structured in such a way that it draws you in to the life of the artist and gives you an insight into his evolution of art and thought and the relationships that moulded him. This gives you not only a holistic perspective but a somewhat personal one. The paintings are a broad representation of the work of Van Gogh with some of his more famous pieces and some of his less known ones. Couldn't rate it more highly

Discover some of Van Gogh’s incredible paintings, there are plenty of galleries here all containing his artwork accompanied by art from his friends. Plenty of information to learn about in this museum, about his early paintings all the way through until his untimely death 10 years later. If you’re visiting Amsterdam for the first time, you HAVE to come here!!

While I’m not a huge Van Gogh fan, I truly enjoyed our time there. Being in the presence of such a renowned artists’s work was very humbling in being able to see his artwork in person. Discovered some pieces I was not previously aware of, and fell in love with a couple that definitely moved me. Could’ve stayed looking at them for hours.
