What people are saying about Valparaíso

Three great advantages with this trip. 1. Alfonso the local guide's extensive knowledge, and helpful and informative comments. Genuine nice guy, trustworthy, punctual, careful driver and with many contacts at the venues. Went at our pace, we did not feel rushed. 2. The tour started with pick from hotel at 9.30. Lots of other tours start at 7am. We are on holiday and had no wish to be up so early, (and to miss the hotel breakfast)! 3. Lunch in local cafe was delicious (beware large portions!) No tourists there and the insight into organic wine with tasting was fascinating. [Extra charge for lunch and tasting but lunch was very reasonable and wine tasting charges are set by winery]. The walking tour of Valpariso took in all the highlights in a circular route so no retracing steps. A great day out

There were only 4 of us English speakers, so we got Christobal who was on his first tour, but spoke good English. He was very apologetic about not being prepared, but we didn't mind. it made gor a more casual tour actually. When we saw an Italian restaurant that was named as having a good view, he was flexible to see if we could go in an look. Great. When we passed a store ghat had wine, the other couple wanted to stop as we did too. He flowed with us. When we told him we didn't need to see the last funicular but rather split and go downtown to a restaurant we heard of, the other couple left us for their hotel and Christobel insisted on going most of the way with us! He felt we might not be safe! As to what we saw, all was as described and history was good.

Our guide Romina was amazing and super nice! The tour was well planned and we were able to get a deep understanding of Valparaiso, its story and culture! Really enjoyed and would highly recommend!

Good and nice guide. Exciting environment. A little less history doesn't hurt.

Alex was great! Very informative and very funny..gave us a great tour👍🏻
