Full description
Take part in a city tour of Valletta, Malta's capital city. Valletta is known for its vast and varied history, and contains buildings from the 16th Century onwards that were built during the rule of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem. The city is essentially Baroque in character, with elements of Mannerist, Neo-Classical, and modern architecture, though World War II left major scars on the city. Now you can visit this beautiful historic city as you explore the Baroque palaces, gardens, and churches that led to the ruling houses of Europe to give the city its nickname Superbissima – meaning most proud. During the tour you will walk through the bustling streets leading towards Barracca Gardens. Here you can experience breathtaking panorama of the Grand Harbour. You will then visit St. John's Co-Cathedral, where you will see the painting 'The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist' by Caravaggio, considered one of Caravaggio's masterpieces and the only painting signed by the painter. You will then watch the Malta Experience Show, which will help you discover the Island and learn about Malta's amazing history. Free time will be available for shopping.

Our tour guide, Evelyn was great. She speaks French and English and was able to communicate with us every thing that there is to know about the city of Valletta. She is very knowledgeable and very friendly. Not to mention that she is a history professor so we trust that her knowledge of St. John's Co-Cathedral and Valletta are very accurate.

    We expected something else!

It started with the fact that we received no information regarding the pickup. We received the requested information only with a lot of correspondence. Then the bus came much later than agreed. At the meeting point everything went very uncoordinated. There was a lot of confusion. Instead of five hours, there were only four of us on the road, where there was still an hour for lunch. I can not make a recommendation!
