Be picked up from your hotel in Valletta and hop aboard an airconditioned bus. Relax on the drive through the countryside to the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk. Admire the largest fishing harbor in Malta that has been in operation since antiquity.

Peruse local wines, liquors, souvenirs, clothes, shoes, traditional lacework, custom jeweler, and handcrafted accessories. Continue to the Wied Iz-Zurrieq (Zurrieq Valley) to visit the fantastical sea caverns of the Blue Grotto. Snap pictures of the impressive main arch, which is approximately 30 meters in height. Marvel at views of the Honeymoon Cave, the Cat’s Cave, and the Reflection Cave.

Appreciate this locations which was featured movies like 'Cutthroat Island' (1995), 'The Count of Monte Cristo' (2002), and 'Troy' (2004). Weather permitting, have the time to purchase an optional boat ride into the grotto. Head to the village of Qrendi for a guided walking tour of one of Malta’s traditional villages. The Marsaxlokk Market is small and quaint, but full of life and all kinds of seafood, fresh (and smelly :)) The Blue Grotto is majestic, even seen from above - it was a windy day in November, so we didn't get to go down to the beach :( It was the highlight of the tour. Qrendi was... very, very quiet... amazing architecture, crowded narrow alleys as mostly everywhere on Malta, but too empty for my tastes, and after the lively Marsaxlokk market. Maybe not such a good idea to have them together on the same tour.

The trip was well organized. The place is definitely worth a tour. Especially the colorful boats and the atmosphere in the harbor is unique. The Blue Grotto was also a special place. Since we were out of season, you could also visit the places in peace, collect impressions and be amazed.

The visit was amazing. A little disappointed not to be able to buy fish on the market but we compensate with everything else. The visit to the blue caves is incredible you have to pay 8€ for an adult and 4 for a child but it is really worth it
