After the hotel pickup, you will be visiting the town of Curepipe and Floreal. You will visit the crater of Trou aux Cerfs and the Indu temple of Grand Bassin. Here you will have the chance to learn about the Indu culture and traditions and how they persist in modern Mauritius society. From here, you will then drive to Black River, where you will be able to admire fantastic landscapes and views of the mountains. Finally you will be travelling to Chamarel, where you will visit the Waterfalls, the park of Seven coloured Earths, and pay a visit to the Giant turtles in the park. From here you will be driving back to your hotel, where you will be dropped off. During the day tour, you will be stopped at our local Mauritian restaurant to discover our Mauritian dishes which is included in this package.

Meet your guide at the Henrietta Bus Station and start with a short briefing about the hike. Then begin your 3-hour hiking experience by walking through sugarcane fields to reach the entrance to the canyon, admiring the stunning landscape around you. Make your way down to the canyon, and after 30 minutes of walking you’ll reach the first of many waterfalls. Take the chance to swim in the natural pools carved out of the rock. Famous not only for its breathtaking beauty, Alexandra Falls also offers visitors the chance to live a unique experience with nature. -Black River Gorges: A 6,500 hectare park proclaimed natural reserve in 1994 and is the largest national park in Mauritius. From Plaine Champagne on the central plateau there is a breathtaking view of the Black River Gorges where we protect much of the remaining indigenous forests of Mauritius. -Chamarel Seven Coloured Earth: Created by volcanic rocks that cooled at different temperatures offering hillsides of patterns of colour. Then, drive to Ganga Talao which is a crater lake, about 550 meters above sea level. Ganga Talao is a major draw of crowds in Mauritius, with many people visiting the site to pray, meditate, or simply to walk by the lake and enjoy the gorgeous surrounding views. The next stop is Alexandra falls which is Situated some 700m above sea level & is one of the most popular nature sites in Mauritius. Then, you'll head to the gorge viewpoint panoramic view with its turquoise ocean view. Then, you'll visit the Seven-Colored Earth which is a natural phenomenon & a prominent tourist attraction. The colors evolved through the conversion of basaltic lava to clay minerals. It is a relatively big area of sand dunes comprising sand of seven distinct colors approximately red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple & yellow. There is also a Tortoise Park & Souvenir Shop. After some time, you'll visit undoubtedly the tallest single-drop waterfall in Mauritius at about 100m high, the Chamarel Waterfall. You will get the chance to observe these animals in the reserve (according to the animal welfare act); Nile Crocodiles, tenrecs, eels, iguanas, and turtles from Madagascar and Seychelles. You will be introduced to a collection of fossils of animals that are now extinct such as the dodo and the elephant bird of Madagascar. La Vanille Nature Park also has an insectarium with a rare collection of species from various locations around the world. You can observe Nile crocodiles at different stages of their growth.
