Full description
Meet your friendly crew and board your boat for the day in the local port of Ushuaia, then set sail towards Alicia Island where you can observe a colony of sea lions. Head towards Bird Island next, and watch out for the array of royal and imperial cormorants, which nest their chicks here from spring to autumn. After a bit of bird watching, travel east to another small island where you can find fur seals, depending on the time of year.
Arrive at Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, an iconic symbol of Ushuaia that was built in 1919. Learn about the fascinating history of the lighthouse as you admire the view, then sail on to Bridges Island. Disembark from the boat and set out on a mini trek in search of native flora and fauna. Follow your guide along the path and learn about the local wildlife as well as the history of the island’s natives. At the highest point along the trek, take a moment to admire the sprawling scenic views across the Beagle Channel, with the city of Ushuaia in the distance.
