What to Expect
Tierra del Fuego National Park is located 11 kilometers from Ushuaia City. You'll depart from Ushuaia by bus to the west, along National Route Nº3. This is the only National Park in Argenitna that protects the forest beside the sea.
Leaving the city westwards, along National Route Nº3 you will drive along the Pipo valley to reach the park entrance. A few minutes ahead is the crossroads to (Bahía) Ensenada Zaratiegui, a breathtaking view you should not miss (De la costa trail). Once back on the main route, framed by lenga and guindo forest, you will cross the Lapataia river and start walking the path that will leads to the Black Lagoon.
The last stretch leads to Lapataia Bay, where stands the world-famous sign of the end of roads in South America. Before heading back to Ushuaia you will stop at Roca Lake, lake, whose color varies with the weather.
