What People Are Saying About Ushuaia
The whole trip was a very insightful experience. The guide was very knowledgeable about Ushuaia, its suroundings and history as well as the fauna and flora flourishing here. Anything you want to know that he hadn't told or explained already you could just ask. He was fluent in both Spanish and English which made everytjing even easier. Well worth the money!
Despite an initial communication lapse about where we were to be picked up, they sent (and paid for) a taxi to take us to the tour bus, which was waiting for us across town. Michaela, our guide, was wonderful and well informed about the park. All in all, a great experience not to be missed while visiting Ushuaia.
The penguin tour was an incredible unique experience, with passionate and knowledgable guides who spoke great English. The visit to the sea life museum at the Haberton Estancia was also extremely interesting. It was just a shame that the intermediate tour agent Gray Line Argentina hadn't consulted with Pira Tour (the actual tour provider) over the timings. We were told the tour started at 8am but when we turned up there was nobody there. We had to ask other tour agents, (none of whom knew Gray Line), who told us that if we were walking with penguins it would be Pira Tour and that it would start at 2:30pm. Fortunately we found stuff to do for the morning until the tour started. Gray Line were useless on the helpline given. Pira Tour told us that Gray Line frequently mess the timings up. I am disappointed I didn't book with Pira Tour direct.
