Full description

Enjoy a unique underground experience with the official Underground Naples guided tour. Your guide will take you through 2,400 years of history, from the ancient Greeks to modern times, unveiling the “womb” of Naples from an archaeological, historical, anthropological, and geological point of view.

The tour includes a visit to the Greek-Roman Aqueduct, the remains of the Roman Theater, and the Summa Cavea, a new fragment of the Roman theater just brought back to life.

The guide will speak English or Italian, or you can follow the visit in other languages, thanks to the free multilingual app that you can download at the beginning of your visit.

In addition, a brochure in several languages is always delivered in order to follow the visit better. You may also take pictures along the way.

The tour was interesting but unfortunately our guide was extremely hard to understand. Her English was terribly difficult to follow since her accent was very extreme. Therefore we didn't understand most of the information. Also, the group was way too big. Almost 35-40 people. It would have been much better in a smaller group with a guide that can actually speak English. Or at least if we had a brochure that explains the hard facts of the tour so you could follow it.

The tour was great but the “skip the queue” element of the ticket wasn’t a thing and people paid less on the door so from that respect, I’d recommend just turning up. We visited in March so maybe in season the type of pre booked ticket offered by Get Your Guide is a good idea but out of season, as I said, we queued like everyone else and paid more!

The guide was Italian (I think) with an American accent. He didn’t project his voice well or speak clearly and it was difficult to understand quite a bit of what he said. At the end of the tour he walked off without saying goodbye to anyone and some members of the group were unsure if it had ended.
