This is a must do experience if you’re visiting Uluwatu! It’s beautiful, cultured and just plain fun! All actors/dancers/singers involved were fantastic 🙂

I liked it very much. At the begging it can seem a bit repetitive with the song but when the story had started with the protagonists that was very interesting. I highly recommend read the story which they provide with the ticket in order to understand what you are looking at. The white monkey was the star without a doubt. We laughed a lot with its interpretation.

Witness a unique cultural experience with a Kecak fire and dance performance on the grounds of Uluwatu Temple. Watch native Balinese dancers perform a breathtaking show of traditional Hindu dance whilst the sun sets in the background.


Kecak is a Balinese dance and rhythmic chant depicting the battle from the Hindu epic Ramayana in which Rama fights the demonic King Ravana with the help of the monkey god Hanuman.


Let yourself be hypnotized by the swirling flames combined with vibrant traditional attire as the performers take you on a journey through Balinese Hinduism. The show is timed to coincide with the sunset, so you can be sure of good views during your time in Uluwatu.

Really enjoyable. Very crammed and not comfortable seating but the actual dance was amazing. You have to pay to get in at the first gates and then pay again to get into the temple on top of this cost. But the dance again was excellent and they gave you a piece of paper which told you the story of the dances and what they meant which was cool. The ‘white monkey’ comes into the audience and is very funny. Overall, I would 100% recommend coming to this as it is very cultural. But beware of the monkeys in the temple, there are sooo many and there are stories of them snatching phones/wallets.
