Uluru

Even if you have walked around Uluru, you won't fully apprecaite the awesome spectacle of this monolith until you see it from the air. You will be able to take photos that you will treasure forever through unique bubble windows. Upon pick-up from your hotel in an air-conditioned transfer coach, you will be driven to the Ayers Rock airport where your crew will provide you with a thorough brief on helicopter safety prior to boarding the helicopter.  After boarding the helicopter, you will then be flown to discover the awe-inspiring scenery of Uluru and its surroundings. Board your coach for the drive to the sacred site of Kuniya Piti and be captivated as your driver shares the Tjukurpa.   Hike around the base of Uluru on the Mala Walk. Some believe that as you walk through this area, you’ll be surrounded by the spirit of the Mala Tjukurpa – the hare-wallaby people. See the vision of a powerful waterfall in a desert at Kantju Gorge! Get picked up from the Ayers Rock Resort and journey by luxury coach to the sacred rock of Uluru. Visit the Cultural Centre and learn about the local Pitjantjatjara people before going to Uluru (Ayers Rock) to take part in a base walk. Follow the Mala walk along the northwest face of the rock to see fine examples of Anangu rock art.  Then, head to the Mutitjulu Waterhole for your 2nd base walk at the home of an ancestral watersnake called Wanampi. You can just relax or stroll around the Sunset Viewing Area to discover your own personal space to watch the amazing Uluru sunset.  Don’t forget to take a photo every few minutes to capture the famous colour change. Have your driver guide take a photo of you with Uluru in the background – although they say the memory will stay with you forever! Return to the resort after sunset and in time for a dinner booking.
