This overnight adventure gives a chance for those short on time to explore Uluru and Kata Tjuta, by flying directly into and out of Ayers Rock Resort! Travel in an Air conditioned minibus and absorb fascinating information about the area and its people.
What to Expect
Join us on an overnight adventure to Kata Tjuta National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and experience the fascinating history and culture of the Anangu. Admire the beautiful scenery and impressive sunrise enjoy an invigorating hike, and have dinner over a compfire in the heart of the wilderness.

Day 1

Welcome to the Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park. Your guide will collect you from the Ayers Rock Airport at 13:30, and upon entering the National Park will take you directly to the Cultural Centre for a great introduction to the Anangu and the cultural significance of this land.

Afterwards, visit the base of Uluru for an interpretive walk. Those choosing to climb will have the chance to do so, weather permitting. Remember that Uluru is a sacred site and Anangu, the indigenous custodians, respectfully ask visitors not to climb it.

Watch the impressive sunset over Uluru before retiring to camp. Tonight, enjoy dinner cooked on the campfire and relax at our private campsite. Dinner is included.

Day 2

Your guide will wake you bright and early to experience a mesmerising Uluru sunrise, which can be viewed close-by our campsite, early mornings being such a magical time in the desert. Then, it’s a short drive to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), an Aboriginal word for “many heads”, to explore its domes of which there are 36 in total.

Pull on your hiking boots and take the Valley of the Winds walk through creek beds, domes and beautiful wilderness. After the return transfer to Ayers Rock Resort your Red Centre experience comes to an end.

Pick-up will be from the Outback Pioneer Hotel at 13:00, or Ayers Rock Airport at 13:30.

What to Remember
Remember to bring a flashlight, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, water bottle, walking shoes or boots, toiletries, swim wear, a towel, a camera, and comfortable and casual clothing for 2 days.

Itinerary may change due to cultural reasons, seasonal changes, operational logistics and accessibility.
Tour is not suitable for children under 8 years of age.

Please dress in comfortable walking clothes and footwear, have a water bottle and hat with sunscreen when boarding tour at Ayers Rock Resort or airport.

Flights must arrive at Ayers Rock airport on or before 13:05 and depart after 13:30. Please provide Flight details at the time of booking. Clients joining at Ayers Rock airport or resort will do so after lunch, and lunch is therefore at their own expense.

Restrict luggage to a day pack and one soft overnight bag/backpack (maximum 10 kg).

No refunds given within 7 days of travel, 25% within 8-13 days of travel, 50% within 14-30 days of travel.
