Udaipur

Begin your experience with pick-up at 3:30pm from your hotel in Udaipur. You will be driven to the farm located on the outskirts of Udaipur city. On reaching the farm, enjoy a warm welcome with piping hot tea or coffee and cookies. After relishing the supper, you will be taken for Marwari horse riding under the supervision of a professional instructor. Ride this famous cavalry horse breed and feel like a true Rajput warrior. Afterwards, you will be taken to the quaint lake of Jogi Talaab to catch your breath after the exhilarating experience. After the exciting evening, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Udaipur, terminating the Udaipur city horse riding tour package. 

Your tour will begin as you are picked up by 9:00AM. From there you will visit the Udaipur City Palace, which is a huge complex housing several small palaces along with four main palaces and a museum displaying rare artifacts. Built over 400 years ago, this city palace has been built in an amalgamation of Mughal and Rajasthani styles of architecture, and through the involvement of various rulers of the Mewar Dynasty. Following that, you'll head to Monsoon Palace. Built on the top of Bansdara Hills, Monsoon Palace offers stunning views over the city and was used as a monsoon resort and hunting lodge. You'll then visit the Garden of the Maidens, which was built by Maharana Sangram Singh II for 48 young women attendants who arrived to Udaipur as a part of a princess's dowry. Consisting of marble elephants, fountains, a lotus pool and a small museum, this garden attracts visitors and residents alike. Bagore ki Haveli will be the next place on your agenda. Located near Lake Pichola at the Gangaur Ghat, this palace presents an exquisite display of art and architecture and showcases rare collections of costumes and modern art. You will then experience the Jagdish Temple, which was built in the style of Indo-Aryan architecture. Later in the evening you can have fun at the cafes near Lake Pichola. The artificial freshwater lake houses two prominent tourist attractions: the islands of Jag Mandir and Jag Niwas. City Palace is located on the eastern banks of the lake, and a boat ride on the lake is one the most popular things to do in Lake Pichola. At the conclusion of your experience, you will be returned back to your accommodation by 6:00PM.

Choose a convenient pickup time from your hotel between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Journey into the Aravalli hills on a scenic drive (approximately 2.5 hours) from Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh. A local English-speaking guide will join you to explain the significance of Mewar in Rajasthani history. The thick walls of this fort (the second longest in the world) stretch for 36 kilometers and offer splendid views and easy hiking opportunities. With more than 350 temple structures, bunkers, and palaces dating back to the 1400s, it is no surprise this remote fort was declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stop for a well-deserved lunch at a multi-cuisine restaurant or try local Mewari food (at your own expense). Then drive to Ranakpur, home to India’s biggest Jain temple. Comprising of massive marble domes and pillars, this house of worship is considered sacred by Jains. Spend some time walking around, as your guide explains the Jain principles of non-violence and non-possessiveness. After a memorable day, bid farewell to your guide and head back to Udaipur to your hotel or other preferred location within city limits. The tour ends approximately ten hours after the start time.

Udaipur, once called the most romantic spot in all of India, is the city of Lakes. This tour covers the most important sites of the city, and ends with a serene sunset at Lake Pichola. Several locations were made famous in the the James Bond movie, Octopussy, filmed here in 1982.  Start your tour at Sajjangarh or the Monsoon Palace, an old dilapidated hunting lodge, perched atop a hillside. It offers fantastic views of the countryside, the Aravalli hills, and Fatehsagar Lake, the next stop on this tour. Step into the Maharaja’s lifestyle at Udaipur City Palace (Rajasthan’s largest palace). Some of these buildings date back 400 years. City Palace Museum has opulently decorated rooms, filled with artifacts and miniatures. Spend approximately two hours here, before heading to the Jagdish temple. Built in 1651, this serene marble temple with stone carvings is dedicated to an avatar of Lord Vishnu. Stop for lunch at a restaurant of your choice, or ask your guide for recommendations (lunch at own expense). Take a relaxing stroll around the lotus pools and fountains at Saheliyon ki Bari. As the day comes to an end, watch the sunset from Lake Pichola. The evening light makes for perfect photo opportunities. You can also choose an optional boat ride for a pleasant end to your full day tour. At the end of the activity, your driver will drop you back to either your hotel, the airport, or railway station in Udaipur.

At 3:30pm board your chauffeur driven car from your booked hotel in Udaipur. From there, you will be driven to Lake Pichola for a mesmerizing boat ride. As the boat ride begins, you will start to see the majestic views of key monuments lining the lake. Catch a glimpse of the 400 year old City Palace, boasting numerous lavish palaces and see locals washing on the ghats (quay) reached by staircase.    Enjoy the cool breeze as you continue the windy ride, looking out for the massive Havelis (private mansions) on the shore. The most prominent one is Bagore ki Haveli, famous for decorations with intricate and fine work of mirrors. Also, do not forget to spot the distant view of Monsoon Palace, perched on the Aravalli hills. Finally, as the time flows, watch the gorgeous sunset view disappearing into the horizon. After the boat ride you, get back in the car and you will be safely dropped back to your booked hotel.       

Celebrate the cultural heritage of Rajasthan with this experience at a cultural evening show. Your experience will begin with a pickup from your accommodation in Udaipur. Then, travel to the Bagore Ki Haveli museum in a private air-conditional car or tuk tuk. The drive will take around 30 minutes.  Your driver will give you your tickets and show you where to enter the museum. Then, take a seat and enjoy the show, which lasts one hour. Watch folk dances invented by locals, which reflect the traditional life of the region. Admire the colorful costumes and dramatic dance performances, and learn about the local way of life.

You will be picked up from your hotel or selected location in Udaipur by your friendly English-speaking driver and leave for Udaipur City Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Situated on the banks of  Lake Pichola, the City Palace Museum displays the belongings of kings and showcases the royal lifestyle of Udaipur's rulers. See the wardrobes and weapons, and visit a beautiful Crystal Gallery showcasing furniture and utensils made of glass.  Later stop by Shree Jagdish Temple, a world-renowned temple of Lord Vishnu. This three-story temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singhji in 1651. The main Jagdish temple is located in the center surrounded by four smaller temples - Lord Ganesha, Sun God, Goddess Shakti and Lord Shiva. It has 32 steps and 50 pillars and is considered a brilliant piece of Indian architecture. Every year thousands of devotees come to witness this amazing temple. The next stop is Dudh Talai located on the banks of Lake Pichola near the City Palace. Enjoy the beautiful view of the lake, Jagmandir Island Palace, Lake Palace, Udaivilas, The Leela Palace, gorgeous Aravalli ranges and Udiapur old city. You can either walk around the lake to see various species of birds, relax in the lush green gardens, or enjoy the musical fountains in the park. Also stop by Saheliyon Ki Bari, Moti Magari and Sukhadiya Circle. When the tour concludes, you will be dropped off at Udaipur Junction Railway Station, bus station, or your centrally-located hotel in Udaipur.

Udaipur is famed as the ‘Venice of the East’ because of its beautiful Lakes and Ghats. Be collected from your accommodation in Udaipur between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Then, head on a 2.5-hour journey through beautiful landscapes to Chittorgarh, which is the city with one of the biggest forts.  Once you reach Chittorgarh, visit the massive UNESCO World Heritage Site known as Chittorgarh Fort. This is a vast structure and has seven gates with Rampole (Gate of Ram) as the main gate. This fort has a history of romance, pride, and Rajput spirit. It is associated with the beautiful queen known as Padmavati. Then, visit the famous Meera Bai Temple and explore her dedication to Lord Krishna. Make a stop for lunch then end your memorable journey in Rajputana style. Be returned to your accommodation in Udaipur.
