Bergen: Sightseeing Cruise of Bergen's Historic Landmarks

See some of the oldest and most relevant historic sites in Bergen, including the medieval fortress that served as the seat of Norwegian power in the 13th century and the colorful emblematic Bryggen wharf that made the city thrive as a successful trading center. Get glimpses of how the city looked like in the old days when you sail past the old wooden warehouses in Skuteviken and Sandviken, and marvel at the luxury residences blossoming on top of skerries at Måseskjæret or springing out from the mountainside at Verftet. Hard to spot otherwise, you will sail past the WW2 concrete ruins of the U-Boot Bunker Bruno before waving at the locals bathing in the fjord at the historical Nordnes Sjøbad and returning back to the Fish Market and the very heart of Bergen. m/s Eric the Red is a modern sightseeing boat with a spacious outdoor deck, a cozy lounge inside and a stunning view from the panoramic deck. The vessel has a capacity of 92 passengers, is adapted for wheelchair users on the main deck, and there is also space for strollers. Beer, wine and non-alcoholic refreshments are sold in the boat's bars.

The lady working on the boat was very welcoming and full of smiles - she suggested a place to sit outside that was suitable for my 88 year old mum who wouldn’t manage the steps up to the outside seating and gave us blankets - it was perfect. Although it had been raining the sun shone for the duration of the trip, which of course made it all the more pleasant. We very much enjoyed the excursion although couldn’t hear all the commentary, which I’m guessing is because we were sat in an unofficial seating area. Happily recommend to others.

This was the perfect way to spend an hour and see some sights you wouldn't see by land. The ride was smooth and the sights were well explained. We had no plans that day and fortunately were able to sign up for this. They sell out fast, so check it out early enough.

We liked the tour a lot. A nice chance of view to the harbour. Tha family was happy at the end. Nice and friendly guides. Boat is in good condition and offers a bar service while traveling.

lovely activity. captain took time to talk to us. very few people because of bad weather. a shame because it was a nice way to discover Bergen. staff was also very nice and helpful

Great for discovering Bergen Bay. We saw the essentials and it's magnificent
