pick up on time, good tour, not for children or very emotional people

We were a really small 5 people group. Our guide was knowledgeable, but her english was not so good, so she used rather simple words. She said it was her first tour and an only-guide... Started with the killing fields. I think we could have stayed a little longer in the field as it was very rushed. (There are bones and skulls displayed and other stuff, so it's really not for something everyone). Afterwards we had some rice-flour based snacks and a cold drinking coconut there, that was delicious. Then the museum, also a little rushed but very informative. We had an old and noisy bus but AC was working and not set too cold. I would do it again.

Informative tour of S21 and the Killing Fields

You need to understand that this is a very emotional tour. The tour only includes the 1 hour tour at S21 and 1 hour tour at the Killing Fields. This was enough for me as i was already upset listening to the horror stories of what happend in both these places. I would highly recommend taking both audio guides. I did not take photos or video as this felt to me very disrespectful. However others did. I left feeling very sad at what i had learnt. This should have never been allowed to happen and I hope it never happends again.

A good impression about the horrible time for the Cambodians

The tour gave a good but also a shocking impression of the horrible time for the Cambodians under Pol Pot and the red Khmer. It is simply unbelievable what Pol Pot is in charge for and what happened basically only 40 years ago. What is even more shocking that this guy had the support of the US and other nations in Europe for a long time. If you make this tour your can expect the worst you have ever seen done to human beings.

Perfect tour, excellent guidance and reliable pick up

The guide, Mr Bou or Bou, already gave me an inside of the history on the way to the killing fields. Arrived there, he explained the exact development of the Khmer Rouge, the history behind and the facts. He gave me time to look around as well and his rational and calm way of explaining help me personally a lot to digest easier what happened . Thanks a lot for that half day tour - loads of thanks to the driver and Bou!

Best way to see the S21 prison and killing fields

The Hop On Hop Off bus was a great way to see the S21 Prison and Killing Fields. They allow just enough time in each place and for a few extra dollars with your admission fees you can rent the audio guide with headphones. The minivan is air conditioned and they provide cold bottled water. Great value.
