Explore Tunis Medina & City Center with a Local Guide

We had a fantastic tour of the Medina and of the old city of Tunis with Riadh. Some of the afternoon’s highlights included the visit to the various markets and a stop at a traditional coffee/tea shop. Riadh is very knowledgeable of the country’s history. We also had very interesting discussions about life in modern Tunisia. One thing worth mentioning is that I made a mistake when booking: I booked for a morning tour, but we really wanted an afternoon tour. I only realized my mistake when Riadh contacted me at 9:30 the next day to coordinate the meeting point. I asked him if it was OK to join for the afternoon tour instead, and although he did not have any clients for the afternoon session and could have enjoyed an afternoon off, he gracefully agreed to reschedule our tour. Many other guides would have declined! We enjoyed our Medina tour so much that we booked another tour with him the next day, this time to visit the Carthage ruins . 10 stars 🌟!

What a brilliant tour. The guide was just amazing. Super friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. What I loved was how much we learnt and saw. He went out of his way to make sure we had a good tour and looked after us throughout. The tour is a good mix of seeing traditional local life and also some of the main tourist attractions of Tunis. He taught us a lot about Tunis and was passionate about what he did. Small intimate group which was nice. Wear good shoes and be prepared to walk. I loved it. He also took us to a lot of hidden gems that I would not have found, had I done this on my own. Highly recommend.
