Take the tour to understand the crisis and Wall Street's history

This tour nicely integrates an overview of the history of Wall Street by visiting specific sites, with the underlying causes of the financial crisis, its unfolding and aftermath. Having an insider describe what happened during the crisis makes all the difference. Unfortunately the casual visitor cannot enter the New York Stock Exchange due to security since 9/11. You also see the site of Lower Manhatten's first terrorist attack - a large home-made bomb delivered by horse and cart. As for the famous charging bull, if you want a photo without the crowds, go visit after an early breakfast. Our small group was so interested and interesting our guide stayed with us longer than the stipulated 2 hours. A tour well worth doing.

A Pleasant Experience and a Fantastic Guide

A Pleasant Experience and a Fantastic Guide I recently went on the Wall Street Experience tour on my trip to Manhattan in December. Our tour guide, Mr. Mike McGuinness, was a fantastic tour guide who was very knowledgeable, as well as very personable and engaging. He was a great guy who really had a passion for Wall St. & US history. He showed us around the very important historic areas of Wall St. which was very exciting. Because of his insider knowledge, we learned all about Wall St. and US political history, and how it helped shaped Wall St. into the financial center that it is today. I would highly recommend the tour, especially having it led by Mr. Mike McGuinness! -Lenoy

Learned new things, but it was a bit too long

Our tour guide was clever, remembered people's names, was full of facts about history and the financial crisis. I thought it was worth it, especially since I had a tween with me who is keenly interested in the financial markets. It was a bit too long for the tween, but he learned new things and enjoyed walking around the area.

Sandy was outstanding. On-time, pleasant demeanor, spoke clearly and loud for. all group to hear (microphone was a big help), highly conversational and knowledgable. Spent an appropriate amount of time in each area, prompted questions. Followup email with recommended readings was a very nice touch. Highly recommended tour!

interesting tour with financial and historical facts .

brief overview from arrival of the Dutch and commencement of trading with local indians to the local historical sites of interest both financial and political. All round an entertaining tour .
