Full description
Visit the fantastic island of Stromboli on this evening tour from Tropea. Drive through the sunset and admire the perfect cone of the volcano crater. During the trip you can enjoy the views on the top deck or below the deck. In the summer you can keep an eye out for dolphins that swim alongside the boat. Visit dreamy Vincenzo, explore the village by foot, and enjoy the fantastic view of the open sea. You will be enchanted by the small streets between whitewashed houses, the turquoise water, and the lush green palm trees and cacti. You can explore the island by foot and swim by the black sand beach. The small alternative shops invite you to go shopping and the numerous restaurants offer the opportunity for a romantic dinner. You will then head back to the boat and cruise to Sciara del Fuoco ("Stream of Fire"). Admire the fascinating natural firework on the uninhabited side of the island. A soft rumbling accompanies the permanent eruptions of the volcano, creating small and large columns of smoke. After 30 minutes you will head back to the port of Tropea.

3 hours to spend in Stromboli allow you to fully enjoy. After an aperitif with a view of Strombolicchio, I preferred to take a long walk around the island rather than visit the many souvenir shops or sunbathe on the beach. However, the most exciting moment is the view of the Sciara di Fuoco with the volcano eruptions.

We really enjoyed the trip. But we were lucky: the weather was good, the Stromboli showed enough activity that it was worth it and the moon and weather lights made a great atmosphere. If you're unlucky, you don't see anything (met people who did the same tour a few days before, but the Stromboli was overcast; they were very disappointed). On the outward journey, some information was announced in German, among other things. On the island you are left to your own devices, but the place is manageable. Tip: If you leave the boat, walk right along the sea and then back up in a big arc through the village over the church. There are lots of restaurants.

The place is incredible. Black dust everywhere, very narrow streets full of piaggio trikes. Too many people in the dock and near bars. The more far you go the less people you see. I visited Oservatorio restaurant and i was alone there at 18 o' clock. A great view to the vulcano is from hear. You can see and hear! explosions. A bear costs 6 euro here, but it worths the price here. Good trecking shoes are recommended as the track is heavily filled with black dust, which is typical for this island. I saw nice red explisions from the ship in the evening. The ship left the island at 20:20, then moved to a place good for observi g and waited here for half an hour. Wee arrived to Tropea at 23:00. There were too many ships leasing the island at about 20:00 and too many people, so be careful to enter the right one. Definitly i want to see it again next year, and from higher levels at 290 meters, maybe even more. There is good mobile signal on the island. Charge phone, you will make many photos
