Full description
Your comfortable coach will depart from the Magic Ice Bar for the scenic 75-minute drive to this evocative fairytale venue in the Arctic wilderness. Before visiting the magnificent Tromso Ice Domes, go on an outdoor winter adventure. The snowmobiling activity lasts 90-minutes and journeys through untouched Arctic wilderness. Drivers will drive in pairs and have the chance to switch halfway during the track. Each driver must be 18 and hold a valid driver's license.  After the snowmobiling tour, be welcomed inside the Tromsø Ice Domes for a guided tour. Set among high mountains in the beautiful Tamok Valley, Tromso Ice Domes is built every year as the Polar Night approaches. The snow and ice art reflects the unique bond between man and nature in a breath-taking manner. The ice bar, ice cinema, ice bedrooms, and ice restaurant have themes ranging from local Sami culture to the northern lights, conveyed through beautiful colored lighting and wonderful ice sculptures.  At the Ice Domes, join a guided tour and learn about the construction process of an ice hotel and the impact the snow has for the survival of our arctic animals. There will be time to walk around freely and ask questions of the experienced guide. A non-alcoholic ice shot at the stunning ice bar is complimentary. You will be able to purchase other drinks, which will be served in the ice restaurant or ice bar.

Snowmobiling was SO much fun! Great team, too. Ice Domes visit was ok - interesting to know how they build these structures, but too much time spent visiting them. Only so much time you can spend in there! Biggest issue with this tour (and others we took) was the catering (lunch). Food not good, and very disorganised. Think the team feel they need to do this, to offer value for money, but they really don’t need to do this. Especially as food is their weak-spot. People will still be happy to pay for the snowmobiling, which is awesome!

The Ice Domes are absolutely worth a visit. There is a short film about the creation of the domes, then there is a drink and afterwards you can walk around the domes yourself. We combined it with an activity (snowmobile driving). Camp Tamok is located directly behind the Ice Domes and is within walking distance.

Loved the snowmobiling it was so much fun! Wish we had more time to go around faster! The food was ok, fish soup but too creamy for me! Ice domes were amaaazing. But standing around listening to the tour guide your feet get very cold if you don’t move around. Disappointed we didn’t get to go into the reindeer thought their would be more interaction with them instead of behind a fence. But overall I did really really enjoy it.
