An amazing experience that I would recommend having towards the end of your trip as it is more chilled than other activities in Tromso. The best part was sitting around the fire in the Lavvu with hot chocolate and listening to the young reindeer herder tell us all about her life and her Sami culture, from marriage, to education, to childhood, she covered a lot of bases and was more than happy to answer people's questions too. The snow was partly icy so they could only offer everyone the 10 minute sledding ride (to protect the reindeers) and refund those who booked for the longer sled ride. The sledding was well organised and people went in small groups until everyone had a turn.

This trip is memorable only because of these beautiful reindeers which I got to see from so near. Our guide Luna is simply awesome, the details about Sami and their living, the history it will make you feel so connected. She explained so nicely about Reindeers and how they are by nature, it was so easy for me to feed them, i never fed any animal before but thanks to Luna and team it was so easy.

A really great experience. From the bus driver to the guide, everyone put a lot of effort into it. Everything went without time pressure, there was enough time to feed, pet and photograph the very trusting reindeer and to be driven around the camp on a sled. The food was very good and you could get as much as you wanted until you were really full. The two (female) guides impressively described the life of the Sami and patiently answered all questions. With normal school English you could understand everything well.
