This was one of the highlights of our visit to Tromso and more generally, one of the best experiences I've ever had. Our hosts were wonderful - friendly, welcoming, and happy to share their life with the guests. We had plenty of time with the reindeer, after which we warmed up inside next to a fire while eating delicious food (definitely the best reindeer stew we had while in Tromso.) It was fascinating learning more about the Sami culture and herding lifestyle and our host answered all of our questions and took time to speak to many of the guests. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area and can't recommend our hosts highly enough.

This was such a lovely evening, feeding the reindeer was so much fun and then having a lovely dinner and hot cocoa was great. The Sami talk after was so interesting and really gave an insight to the way of their lives. Definitely recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Tromso!

The tour was well organised and nice. Because of the weird weather conditions there was a lot of ice so everyone got spikes to walk around safely. We got a short introduction and then went outside to feed the reindeer with buckets of food. You could fill up your bucket again and keep feeding them or alternatively sit down at a campfire already, there was no rush. The guides were also looking out for northern lights and turned the lights in the camp off, so we actually got to see the northern lights there. We went inside to eat and listen to the Sami stories but one guide always stayed outside so they could call us out in case the aurora got stronger.
