Start this exciting half-day tour with transport from Tromsø. Meet your professional musher, dog sled driver. Once you are well-equipped, the guides will take you for a ride in a sled shared with one or two other guests.

Enjoy great views of the mountains surrounding Tromsø, which stretch towards the Balsfjord and Malangen peninsula. After an hour of dogsledding, head back to camp. There, a trained handler will share their stories about animal care, how the dogs are bred and trained, and the history of dogsledding. Cuddle a husky puppy.

We were welcomed and fitted out with coveralls to protect us from the environment and the dogs! After that we went out to the sleds and met our musher and settled down into the sled to await the off. We were soon on our way and spent the next 40 minutes being pulled by our team of dogs across the snow and ice in minus temperatures so wrap up warm. After that we had a wander round the pound meeting the very friendly dogs, getting up close and personal. The dogs are obviously well looked after and were very keen to run. The visit concluded with a light lunch and hot drinks (the hot chocolate was lovely) Being a dog lover, this was the one experience I was most looking forward to and it didn't disappoint.

It was truly magical, so well organised and such a beautiful experience to feed the reindeers and be in their presence. The Sami talk and stories in the tent with that big roaring fire was a great end to a perfect afternoon. The lunch and hospitality shown by the team was amazing.

Very well organised. Met the dogs in the hutches, all lovely and well cared for. Husky sledding was great fun. Our musher was friendly and chatted with us. Dogs can be very funny, great characters! Talk after with our guide about the husky farm followed by lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
