Increase your chances of seeing the northern lights with a guide that has seen over 1000 sightings of this stunning natural phenomenon on this tour from Tromsø. Get camera tips on how to best capture pictures of the northern lights from a photographer.  Meet your guide in Tromsø and travel to a location that is outside the city with excellent viewing conditions. Know that your guide will take you as far away as Finland to ensure you get the optimal viewing conditions.  Once on location, sit in a camping chair and enjoy a cozy bonfire with traditional knekkebrød (crispbread) and gulrotcake (carrot cake). Keep your hands warm with a piping hot drink and wear a cozy thermal suit. If you still get too cold, stay warm on the heated bus.  Make use of the camera tripod and get tips on which camera settings to use from your guide, so you can share photos of the dazzling aurora borealis with your friends and family back home. Return to your hotel in Tromsø.

It had been cloudy all day and continued into the evening so I was convinced we had no chance of seeing the lights. That being said, we drove for about 2 hrs towards the Finnish boarder where our guide found an opening in the clouds along the way so pulled into a side road. Here we saw the northern lights! Photos were taken for us on a professional camera and emailed to us after the trip. They were high quality and showed the lights well. We continued closer to the Finnish boarder and we managed to see the lights again. A choice of warm tea or coffee was provided and a cake each. Since we travelled so far to find clear skies we arrived back in Tromsø around 2:30am. The mini bus was warm and comfortable!

The Entire experience was mesmerizing. Our guide/driver Andrie was just amazing. we saw an amazing show of the aurora. Andre took us away from the city besides a very a pretty coast. He was really grasping us spot the aurora and was taking extra efforts to stop the car on our way back if the activities were powerful. He really took the every opportunity to have us see the Aurora. The entire experience was amazing the Minvan was comfortable and everything else was very good too. It was just the best experience.
