From Tromsø: Northern Lights Guided Bus Chase

Trip was a spontaneous booking and worth it, the guides drove us all the way to Finland to get away from the clouds and we were rewarded with a spectacular show! Obviously lights are never guaranteed and we had tried a few stops before we made it as far as we did. Might be common sense.. but wrap up warm and bring layers, it was -14 when we got to Finland to get off the bus to take pictures! Make sure you eat decent before you board as the driving alone was 7 hours there and back not including when we got off the bus! We got back to Tromsø about 3am and left at 6:30pm. The guides do make a fire and offer hot drinks and snacks but better to eat before you get on. If you can, bring a camera, though you can get some half decent shots with a newer iPhone too :) had such a good time and would rebook in a heart beat. Bus was also very warm, a bathroom was available and comfy seats. The ladies really went out of their way to do their best and can take a professional pictures for you too!

It was a really organised trip and everything went smoothly. Our guides were both very kind and helpful. We drove all the way to the Norway-Finland border and the guides were determined to catch the auroras. We ate some marshmallows over fire and it was a really wholesome experience. Auroras were dim and were better visible through a camera so make sure to bring a tripod ( cheapest ones work fine). We saw some moose on the way too! Claire took amazing photos of us and were available the next day. The watermark was a little too big on the photo, but you can purchase a digital high quality copy for 160kr (!) .
